IMPORTANT INFORMATION

SUMMER SCHOOL: May 31, 2017 - June 27, 2017

Summer School is an excellent way to keep K-8th grade students engaged the first month of summer! 

Incoming freshmen can meet new classmates and earn an elective credit!

A+ students can meet the 50 tutoring hours requirement (See Mr. Gier for more information)

Some advanced Ag students may have the opportunity to earn credit as well (see Mr. Rieke or Mrs. Corson-Peters for more information).

Summer school registration forms have been distributed. Parents should look for a yellow form (elementary), blue form (junior high) or orange form (freshman).  Please complete the form your child brings home if you would like to enroll them in Summer School.

Completed forms for elementary students through grade 5 should be turned in to the elementary office by Friday, April 21, 2017.

Forms for students in grades 6, 7 or 8 should be turned in to the high school office by Friday, April 21, 2017.

Incoming Freshmen:

Incoming freshmen should plan to attend "FRESHMAN FRENZY" on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. This will be a day full of informative sessions, including trips to Missouri S&T in Rolla and State Technical College in Linn. 

(This event replaces the freshman orientation day we have held in the past.)

A parent meeting will be held that night at 6:00 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Open House: 

All K-12 students and parents are invited to attend Fatima's Open House Monday, August 14 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Find your locker, find your classrooms, meet administrators, teachers and staff! 

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 16, 2017.

Parents/Guardians:

Due to student supervision issues, students are not allowed to enter the building prior to 7:30 AM.  Students are not to arrive at Fatima prior to 7:30 AM - doors will be locked until that time. Please be advised staff members arriving prior to 7:30 AM will NOT allow students to enter prior to 7:30.

Students are not to stay after school unless in a SUPERVISED activity (utilizing the supervised library, club meeting/event, tutoring, etc.). Due to a supervision issue, students are not allowed to stay after school until game time, etc.  They are required to go home, and return at an appropriate time prior to the start of the event.

Students caught loitering in hallways/classrooms unsupervised before/after school will be subject to disciplinary action.

Seniors will take finals in hours 1,3,5 and 7 on Wed, May 10

Seniors will take finals in hours 2,4,6 and 8 on Thurs, May 11

Seniors last day at Nichols will be Thurs, May 11

Friday, May 12 is a mandatory attendance day for seniors

Graduation is Sunday, May 14, 7:30 PM in the gym - Seniors need to be in the Multi-Purpose room by 7:00 PM

The Academic Awards Program for grades 7-11 will be held at 1:35 PM on Monday, May 15

Finals in hours 1,3 and 7 will be taken Tuesday, May 16

Finals in hours 2,4 and 8 will be taken Wednesday, May 17

Juniors last day at Nichols will be Wednesday, May 17

The 8th Grade Promotion will take place in the gym at 1:30 on Wed, May 17

Finals in hours 5 and 6 will be taken Thursday, May 18

Fatima will release at 11:22 for the summer on Thursday, May 18

Summer School starts on Wed, May 31.  The last day of Summer School will be Tues, June 27 (20 attendance days)

SNOW MAKE UP DAYS:

In the event school is canceled due to bad weather, the following scheduled non-attendance days will be utilized to make up the days taken:

SCHOOL BREAKFAST and LUNCH PRICES FOR 2016/17:

The cost for HS and Elementary Breakfast will remain at $1.25 per meal.

Elementary Lunch - $1.95 per meal

High School Lunch - $2.20 per meal

(School is in session 174 days)

An application for free/reduced meals will be sent home with every student on the first day of school.  All families are strongly urged to apply for Free/Reduced meals as all qualifying students greatly benefit school funding.

Parents of HS Students: 

When your child turns 18 they must sign an Authorization to Disclose Information to Parent/Legal Guardian to allow us to release information to you (attendance, immunizations, course schedule, grade reports, progress reports, discipline, etc.).   Please talk to your child and make sure they understand without the signed document on file, we will be unable to provide you with information after they turn 18.
